My dad has just got this movie on blue-ray and says it's the best western that was ever made, well i'm not into cowboy films but the music is great on this "well nearly 6 million hits think so"

Thxs bamagirl he said hes seen Lonesome Dove he said it was a good movie but not up there with the classics, he said he would be interested to know what a native Texan's top 5 westerns would be?

well Keri took me a while to whittle it down to 5 but here they are (person opinion of course).
1. Lonesome Dove
2. Appaloosa (absolutely love this one)
3. Magnificent Seven (how can you get more cool than Yul Brynner, Charlie Bronson, and Steve McQueen all in the same movie)
4. The Searchers (even though I am American Indian, this movie is as good as John Wayne ever was)
5. Once Upon A Time in the West

Also, the Ox Bow Incident, Shane, The Wild Bunch, Red River, The Good The Bad and the Ugly, The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance, too many more to mention.

only seen the first one so it looks like i will have some westerns to watch
