Guan if you're not going to remove guest play then how about considering changing the full snooker room into a premium members only room like they have in pool ?
That way those of us who are fed up with being pestered by guests and some of the so called new players will have somewhere to get away from them, and maybe do the same with 1 of the short snooker rooms.
That way if players decide to play guests and so called free members and get abused it's their problem for playing them and our snooker mod can get on with playing games instead of worrying about guests being a problem.

I think that's a good idea but there is a problem, the members pool room is often empty and you never get more than 2 or 3 players in there most of the time.
Therefore you would struggle to find a game unless you arranged or agreed to play someone in there.
If you did that it would work better.

Ultimately though too many paid up members actually want to play guests and until there is a way around that we are always going to have issues.

I just feel it's time to not allow members to play guests, ever. Like I have said elsewhere I don't understand why they play them anyway.

Maybe there's not many in the members only room in pool but at least it would let us get away from them if we wanted to.
The only reason some like playing guests is cos they think it's easy rates, as we call them the rate hunters
As i said before i won't play them but have witnessed the abuse from some of them.
Win or lose i don't care, after all rates don't prove anything, I prefer just to play those i have got to know and have some fun, which after all is what this game is about ............. isn't it ?

It would definitely get you away from them but....you may be on your own in there. It will only work if many members accept it rather than chase from table to table playing guests.

Also the vast majority of members probably don't even login to this forum. So it's harder getting the message across.

johnny i find myself wondering just who's side you're on, i'm trying to come up with solutions to the problems and you just argue everything, when friends of mine are no longer playing in the practice rooms because of all the crap that goes on and popeye another friend of mine who's a mod constantly getting calls from players because of it, then something needs changing.
I have seen a lot of good decent players leave because of it and we're just left with too many of the wrong type of people here.

This isn't an argument and not sure why you think it is, I agree we need to do something about the guests, you know from what I have said elsewhere I don't play them nor do I believe others should.

I am just not sure, whilst I agree the members room is a good idea, enough people will take it on board and use it, based upon what we see in the pool version where it's rare you seen more than a couple of people in there.
Far too many choose to play guests rather than play paid up members.
As an example there are 61 currently playing 3d pool and just 2 in the premium room.

Don't get me wrong I welcome anything that gets rid of the pests and if a members room was the answer I would be made up.

Caz, That's a Really Good idea ....... Guan She May Be Right On The Money Here and Keeping Everyone Happy Mainly Me So i Don't Have To Spend 23hrs a Day Booting These So Called Guests / Free Named Accounts Please Consider it at Least..


I Would Be Very Surprised if any Paid Member Would Reject This idea Just To Have an Easier Life in Snooker..

Johnnys right, theres no point creating a members only room for 1-5 members max, look at pool which is far more popular yet the mo room is only occupied by Judey & Martik maybe thats the reason lol.

Main point is the snooker rooms are mostly empty hardly any members play the game compared to pool, a small percentage of whoever's left in snooker will use the room end result waste of programming.

I have spoken to a number of players who would welcome this, i also think guan could then rename the practice room to rate hunters paradise

You say there's not many paid members in snooker most of the time ........ well have you asked yourself why ............ many have left because of the problems here and while guan did a great job with the F5 he neglects to deal with the problems of so called guests being abusive.
No one can argue that the level of abuse has reached an all time high (certainly has in my time here) and really does need dealing with 1 way or another, having said that another long time member suggested that maybe guests shouldn't be able to chat at all, now as we can't block their chat at all and blocking chat only works in small screen when a lot of us play in full screen i think it's a very good idea.

Guan please don't neglect or reject this topic.......... maybe give it a trial and see how it works out.
