Guan, after all these years of asking for you to change the available options for when we want to practice alone, we still have to practice with the demented useless computer. PLEASE EXPLAIN how it is practice for me, sitting and watching the computer run 61 points in 15-ball like it did tonight? I don't need or want to "practice" watching opponents sink balls. I have been playing online and computer billiard games for over a decade which let me play shots over and over again, and allow ball placement to set up specific shots, and let me play both sides of a game. Your own stand-alone games allow me to play both sides, yet you refuse to add that functionality to Arcade and Poolians. Please explain why we have to put up with this brainless computer when you could easily provide proper practice tools like so many other games have been doing for years and years, including some of your own games. I am just sick and tired of asking for this for years.
Gee Rod, why don't you stop beating around the bush and just say what you really feel!

Rod here are my 2 cents
I have invested in a second laptop and a second mouse and a second chair and the most important thing a second pack of beer cans (thats a must have item) and No I don't have a friend using all the "second"  items I do it all alone and play both sides and drink both beers to forget the misery of switching chairs to practice. Well I may have lied above it did cost me more than 2  cents !

Got to agree with Rod here, its a feature i was asking and hoping for in Poolians trying to move the balls to positions to practice certain shots can be a pain in the a$$ and Nad you dont have two of everything it just looks that way after the beers

Nad and Keri -

sorry i sounded so grumpy

but.... :o :? :(

the computer plays such crap pool and snooker that no one can learn anything of value from playing with it. In snooker, for example, it frequently ignores straightforward shots and instead plays INSANE shots off the rail. It mindlessly destroys the layout of a snooker game faster than a tornado levels a cornfield in Kansas. And it still plays deliberate fouls, in violation of all snooker rules. SO ... what's the point of it?

Get rid of it.

R

I totally agree, Rod. It would be wonderful to choose "practice mode", and play without the computer opponent. Being able to have "do-overs" is a great way to actually practice and improve one's game. Same for being able to place balls wherever you want to, in order to practice a certain shot.

As I envision it, practice mode would give me a choice....

*play against the computer, or
*same person plays both sides, or
*no opponent, or
*manually place balls into position (perhaps limit this to cueball and one or two object balls)

All of these would have a key to press, which would be "re-play previous shot."

How about it, Guan? Here's another opportunity to improve Arcade Tribe. I would love to see you do this!

Thanks,

Ike (vanwinkle)

PS, Nadim, funny post m8. :D

Lol Keri, I hope I am sober enough to write a few words. Rod and Ike your posts should be the "to do" list of Guan. Things are clearly put. You help making this game better with your valuable input. We currently have "technically" the replay shot "F5" Guan only needs to enable it in the practice games you are asking for.
